Righto lads/ladies. I as a Widnes fan went along today in the abscence of anything elseo to do with us not playing etc. I was in the Terrace end, and before KO i was unsure of what outcome I was hoping for, obviously as we have our derby days and difference at times. However 15 mins into the game It was obviou that I was backing leigh. Not just because of the state of the scoreboard but because of the passion and pride coming from the fans. Superb from start to finish.

On the pitch totally blew em out the water today, watson looked impressive, although Alstead was definately my MOM, young Durbo looked OK too. Had far too much, they just seemed to buckle.
But the fans were awesome really got behind the team, in what must have been your performanceof the season. Shame as your fate was sealed by a result out of your own hands though.



Anyway we will miss the local games and I wish you well in the division below. all the best well done today.

I think everyone enjoyed watching Leigh play how they should've been playing throughout ther season and not just for the last few games. I thank you for coming and I'm sure the games against Widnes next season will be sorely missed by both sets of supporters. The fans were great in the first half especially but even without a radio to hand you knew that the score at Fev was going against us. There was a general muting at times which said it all. I'm sure the edge was taken off the second half with the score at Fev coming through the silence!

Yeah it went slightly flat second half when Batley scored 30 unanswered points at Featherstone (what a joke)



All in all a great performance, great attendance and excellent rugby by the lads. I hope they play with that kind of passion and commitment next season whatever league we're in.

He knew thr risk when he signed for us and has vocally committed himself on the radio only last week for two years. Some of the Championship sides might be in for a shock if they draw us in the NRC or Challenge Cup next season

I think so too Kevster. Only the cap will stop us turning more over. I can see a good year next year.
