The success of any organisation comes from the very top and works it’s way down.

It’s now way beyond time that the current board of directors grew a pair and sorted this crap out.

Fitzpatrick, Powell and his team along with some of the players (who have been taking the absolute ) need to be shown the door.

Replace with proven winners and professionals or just give it up and let someone else do it.

...take their money out of the club too?

Yeh it was less stressful when we had nothing back in Wilderspool days. Everything we have now massively raised expectations and we have been pretty much poor except the Cup wins. Use to go to games not expecting anything and was a bigger buzz when we won especially against Wigan.

What’s the point putting so much of your personal wealth into the club and letting incompetent losers like Fitzpatrick and Powell completely waste it?

We’ve gone backwards since Price left and we were no great shakes then either.

The board need to wake up and start taking it seriously by hiring professional winners in the key positions.

The players need to take a good hard look at themselves too. They’ve done a job on Powell today… which is absolutely shameful.

Having seen some of the highlights from the mess that is today, I am wondering whether some players thought they were in a touch game in defence.

Fair play to Stuart Middleton for speaking out in the Guardian today.

Respect to him and SM for putting their money into the club and for funding the Academy tour to Oz.

I’m sure they are gutted about what’s happened, as we all are.

Let’s hope lessons are learned and we can get the success we all want.

So the board are coming in for a lot of flak for supposed meddling etc. DP was given carte blanche by the sounds of it and a good 18 months and he’s made an absolute hash of it. The board have invested heavily in the academy and are clearly hell bent on getting that right, reading between the lines I think they’re disappointed in Powell’s treatment of some of the youngsters. Yes he gave a few a go but was too afraid to call on them during tough times. I mean it really is poor to say he couldn’t drop two middles when there were youngsters available…..we may have lost but not by 42-6.

I’m really glad he’s gone.

If I was the journalist I would have perhaps been tempted to ask what happened at the time of the implosion around the McGuire incident.
