For those of us who were unable to attend the meeting, could someone please give a debrief?

Sounds coming out of the meeting are encouraging everyone Facebooking and tweeting about it seem positive

It was a very productive meeting with a lot of good points being raised. Probably take Shirl all day to type it out as a lot of questions were asked. The Harlem shake was mentioned and could be happening. great turn out B.T.W

The main points I remember rather randomly are:-

* The new management team is undertaking a thorough review of all structures and systems, both rugby and management related. Every employee is accountable.

* Any player of quality who can improve the squad is a realistic target. This is no idle boast, but was almost understated as a matter of fact.

* Graham Lowe and Andrew Chalmers are based in Auckland but will have four or five spells each year in Salford. They have very good contacts in Australia and New Zealand.

* The club is exploring the possibility of some sort of link with the Gold Coast Titans, though is not sure what this may involve until talks have taken place.

* There are plans afoot to try to attract the best young British talent.

* Talks continue between the good doctor, Peel and the Council to secure a way forward on ownership / joint ownership of the stadium and surrounding land. If we are able to, we hope to be able to train at Barton and develop a Centre of Excellence for young players which may well include accommodation etc.

* Relations between the club and the Stadium Management team are good, as are relations with Peel.

I've probably forgotten points that others may wish to contribute as there was lots of talk about parking, the match day experience, the Fans' Bar and pricing and the role of loan players.

What amazed me was how much the new team seems to have realised and started to put into practice in two weeks. I am also certain that the new Management team is strong, able and determined. I left the meeting in no doubt that we are going to be a force to be reckoned with in Rugby League in the not too distant future. It won't happen overnight, but I am certain it will happen.

I see the Salford Reds arising!

I think the possibility of some warm-weather training was hinted at.
Interesting that the matchday programme informed me that the current head coach at Titans,John Cartwright,spend a year as a player at Salford in 1997.

Yeah he was a good one too think he broke his arm punching somebody which finished him at salford

Oh Christ, please no. No no no. No. Leave this kind of cringeworthy pish to the tea-towel wearing divs down the road. It's embarrassing, unimaginative 'wacky' drivel. Honestly, if you find this kind of thing even remotely funny, turn off your "Mrs Brown's Boys" DVD, take off your novelty Daffy Duck tie and have a long hard look at yourself.

We're a great club with a proud history and, for the first time in my lifetime, the potential for a great future. Leave the two-months-behind-the-zeitgeist novelty internet dances and inflatable bananas to the laser blue clowns.
