I'll be making my Great North Run debut this year as part of the BBC Radio 5Live team and am hoping to make as much money as possible for the RFL Benevolent Fund.
The Fund supports those seriously injured while playing our great game, and supported Adam Watene and Leon Walker's grieving families in the aftermath of their tragic deaths, including paying for the repatriation of the bodies...which for Adam, was obviously back to New Zealand.
This is just a small part of the work the Fund does, and I'd be really touched if you could throw a few pennies my way for this run.
If anyone is able to or would like to sponsor me for this cause, you can do so online@
