He was full of endeavour, but a distinct lack of application for me.

I am not saying he didn`t try,he always does,just thought his game was riddled with mistakes tonight.Doesn`t make him a bad player.

I feel sorry for him. He is a class above anyone else in our team. I can see him feeling like Michael Owen did at Newcastle. His comments when he first played for Man Utd, saying how nice it was to play with people on his wavelength, just summed up his frustrations and Berrigan must feel the same. He runs and runs and offers pass after pass and there is just no one on the end.
