Are there any snippets of news to keep us positive/hopeful? Even if it's only that things are moving apace in the background - anything.

Meetings, communications, more meetings.... but nothing yet to get too excited about.

With all the talk about change will the you have to have a shinny ground go out of the window.

How much patience do you think we have?

Can someone clarify where we are at with outline planning, objections, designs, funding, ground-share, full planning submitted, full planning granted, timescales, announcements ?

Wakefield fans have had the patience of a saint as far as new grounds go!
Problem is, people on the outside don't really appreciate the scale of the scheme and I for one do feel that a trickle of information every now and then, would keep supporters up to date and save them having to ask.

Any news TRB on the council and its commitment to the 2 million.

People can stomp their little feet as much as they want - it won't make a jot of difference. It will take as long as it takes - and that is all that can be said.

On funding - most of that is committed, but not all just yet.
On the council - I have no reason to doubt their input - when it is needed.
On ground share - Nothing at present, but that could change.
On detailed planning - sort the above out and then.....

Outline planning is confirmed as approved and therefore any objections are nullified.

That's where it's at and I think it will remain as that for a while longer yet. There are ongoing discussions with ALL the relevant parties, which includes the RFL, so there are no surprises involved.

Forget about it being ready for use in 2015, its not going to happen. 2016 season at best.

Late as possible for me please - of course as long as it gets built.

This shiny new ground will increase our income from what it is now dramatically which will help us if the new league structure comes in which for sl1 will probably have minimum ground standard criteria. So yes this shinny new stadium is massive for us.
