Players really want the penny and the bun don`t they. Yesterday Bryn Hargreaves was crying in his beer because a nasty man did not turn up for a meeting and felt that players were treated poorly. Today we hear that a player and his agent may have conspired against their employer to break rules in order to move clubs. We all know this sort of thing goes on but listening to players bang on about how poorly they are treated, and reading all the guff on tweeter from players backing up Bryn Hargreaves makes you sick. We gave Jonhnson his chance in SL after Saints dis not want him and yet in return his agent may not have had the decency to play by the rules. The sooner the club owners get together and refuse to deal with agents the better, it will never be but wouldn`t it be nice not to have these parasites in our game.No problem if a player gets a better offer as long as he plays by the rules. On a positive I have always emjoyed watching Jonson play for us, he gave 100%, I am sure he is a great lad just poorly advised. His going does open up a route to the first team for Walshaw and Trout.

Sometimes people give notice and go sick and don't work their notice. That's unfair. Sometimes people get pushed out. That's unfair too. No different for rugby players or anyone else.

They can afford the fine now they aren't getting Rangi. Or Amor. Or Paea, Taylor, Elima, Bateman and a few others they threw money at but got turned down. Johnson is a decent player but that is all, certainly not one that is is going to take Hull up another level. Losing Moa and replacing him with Johnson isn't exactly like for like, Johnson couldn't even get in the Wakey team for large parts of the season, we played Southern at prop instead. Not seeing a great amount of improvement in Hull next year up to press, Ellis is a very good signing but they've lost Manu which is a blow, Arundal is unproven and his shoulder injury is an issue, Galea had retired and Crookes is no better than Sharp & Lineham imho. Holdsworth is good on his day but those days have always been very hit and miss, both at Salford and the Bulldogs before them. And, bar Ellis (whose team didn't make the finals in the nrl), all signings are from teams that finished lower than them in the table. Think Mr Pearson has found things not as easy as he thought it would be.
