Its a pity The Leigh players did not put the same amount of effort into playing rugby & avoiding relegation as they did in going around town on their end of season pi$$ up. Have these players no pride ? Have they no sense of failure or shame. The Watcher for one was totally aghast at their poor decision to parade around town partying after the disastrous season they had just had.Shame on all of you who took part.
On a more light hearted note,some of the players did dress appropriately as they had played like smurffs for most of the season.

A s long as they werent being abusive or offensive I say let them let off some steam. Most of them work all day then train at night then play at weekends, it must be knackering. They are mostly young lads too so let them let their hair down.

Can't see the problem with this, end of a long season irrespective of the result. Do you suggest they shrivel into a corner at home

Watcher wind your neck in pal. When you have a bad year at work you still think you have the right to a chritmas do its the same for the players a night out off season cant see how anybody can have a problem with it

There a rugby team who have played their last game together, i know its not been the best year on the field but i think they are entitled to a send off.

Not quite that severe but please dont stagger around the town you have just got relegated drunk as Lords stumbling in & out of the traffic cause you cant stand up straight.

make me laugh some people they was having a night out got nothing to do with rugby your a fan of their rugby you have nothing to do with there personal life

Actually youre right, they should have stayed at home and watched heartbeat with their mums and a nice (small) glass of sherry.

It wasnt a night out,started at 9am,I am certainly not a fan of "their rugby". On your last point I can not argue.
Does anyone share The Watchers point of view on this matter or am I on my own again ?

You may not be a fan of there rugby pal and they have been awful for a lot of this season but theyve tried their best and thats all you can ask

Well I find the sight of people staggering around blind drunk pretty pathetic, no matter who they might be.

I suppose you could argue that they were drowning their sorrows. Some of them will not be playing for Leigh again and moving on to pastures new, so it was appropriate to "mark the occasion" in some way and I wouldnt say it necessarily showed that they didnt care they had just got relegated. They just don't quite simply have the imagination to do something other than getting lathered..

The main thing, as a fan, is did they put 100% into each and every match they played - if so then I suppose what they get up to otherwise on a private basis (i.e. not on official club business) is their own affair.
