There is an interview in the WG he says the right things. I used to live in Cronulla and have a couple of friends there basically they said to expect what he has told the WG.

Just listened to it now on iPlayer on the link posted earlier. Interview starts at bang on 11 mins.

Few similar soundbites to what was said in the Guardian interview. It was pretty short, I guess there's not much he can really say having only been appointed 5 minutes ago.

He came across really well though. Sounds like he genuinely wanted the job.

Top line - a fair few things he needs to change - some more things behind the scenes like some new "high performance staff" coming on board.

The number one thing he will bring is a "hard edge and resilience"

"When the team crosses the white line, they're going to be cracking it."

Personnel - there will be a number of different players in terms of starting 17. He's actively trying to recruit a half back over there as we speak.

Really encouraging. Saying there will be changes, he is scouting for a halfback, and the team will not lack on the desire to compete.

Ray French was correct also with his identification of lack of "hardness" in the pack.

What is the betting that the pre-season training camp is not in Lanzarote or Bondi this year but a week in the Brecon Beacons with half the time spent shovelling sheep poop and the other half training with the SAS (ok maybe not the SAS but you get the drift).
