Not many players command the respect of opposing teams supporters as well as their own. Indeed, not many players are regarded as both a winner and a gentleman following their playing careers. I reckon PW is one the few to achieve this.

Wellens is the type of clubman I think the Doc was alluding to at Tuesday's press conference. Wanting to wear the shirt with pride. These kind of quality players that come through the youth system and show loyalty to one club are rare and priceless. Now get that new contract signed Theo.
