The BEST system we can have which is Saving our game. It could be tweaked and makes our game and teams more STABLE and PROFESSIONAL.

It's ruining the championship competition, seriously why do people bother going to the games! Then again this year our games have been more entertaining than alot of SL games i have seen

I dont usually post on threads like this, it's hard for my club (leigh) to attract fans when theres no P&R. I must say this year has been my most enjoyable one!
We are building a team with a decent amount of leythers in it, but how long before SL teams hand pick players from us.

I think franchising is a fine idea. Works okay for the mega rich American sports.

However the RFL need to outsource the decision making and forward planning. The success of franchises so far is wildly different, from Catalans at one end, to the unbelievable failures of Quins and Crusaders.

Get some real business men involved and get proper investment, marketing, business planning in place. The current system of promising a promotion to one of the pathetic Championship clubs, none of which deserve to be in Super League, is pathetic. There should be a system where if you can prove you have a quality organisation you can get in within a realistic timescale, but also if you fail to live up to expectations, current and traditional SL sides included, you can be removed as well.

and now we have moved forward from 2005, the standard of RL we are playing is much more entertaining. At the moment we are not ready but when we get our chance we will give SL a good crack. We'll certainly have more fans than Quinns

One little thing though why do people post 'franchising must go but then also say we are not ready yet.' Isnt that the point?

I am not a massive fan of it HOWEVER it could work if implemented properly and most important CLEARLY I have said this from day one too before anyone starts. When used to strengthen our sport it's fine. When used purely for expansion purposes it makes the game and structure weak.
