Read comments from Flannery earlier this week that he would like a further contract with Saints.Personally I would not re-sign him but what is the general opinion on him?

He puts in a lot of hard graft, does Flannery. Depending upon what other experience we have in our team next season it might be better to keep him on for another year.

I have always liked Flannery he does the unseen and often unrecognised work in our team and we do miss him when he doesn't play. We need to keep some experience in the side and he never lets us down.

Keep him. His stength is far greater than the trio of youngsters we have, and there's little chance of us picking up anyone else. He works hard and moves well off the ball. If he goes and we don't replace him, we're looking even more lightweight.

If it's true that he's not on the quota at all and his leaving wouldn't allow us to sign a top notch NRL player, then keep him.

He's much better than the garbage that comes through the academy.

I agree, if he's off quota and we not in for anyone else then we should keep him. He's a solid enough player.

Going off recent years at saints I expect us to allow him to leave to get his wage off the books and just use ashurst as his replacement.

Surprisingly, I agree with you, a very under rated player IMO.

He's a keeper for me, if we don't have any quota spaces that is.
