Just read about Hopkins getting the boot after recently signing an extension, along with people like James Green (who was on a very good contact) think you are doing the right thing in releasing the so called big earners. When some players rest on their laurels with a healthy long contract they become lazy. I reckon Cunningham has looked at the wage bill of the players you have released and chocked on his coffee as he was reading them.
We as you know went down 12 months ago, and looking back, in a peculiar way was what needed to happen to really wake everyone up and realise what is really going on with the club, from top to bottom.
I know players have mouths to feed and bills to pay, but tough titties, it will benefit you no end in cleaning up and restarting.
Maybe harsh, but true. Need to put our head down and start climbing that hill again, being a Leigh fan we had more ups and downs than a 3D map of the alps
